Michael Hansen DDS
"The Role of Ankylogossia in Craniofacial Development”
This lecture will focus on the importance of diagnosing varying degrees of ankyloglossia and their effects on cranial growth. It will give a thorough description of the functional frenuloplasty and its advantages over other lingual frenum procedures. Dr. Hansen will address the use of laser therapy vs scissor in this procedure and advantages of each. He will also discuss how to integrate myofunctional therapy into the regimen for best results in this comprehensive treatment protocol.
Dr. Hansen is a graduate of Ohio State University and a Breathe Institute Affiliate. He is a clinical Advocate for Vivos therapeutics, mentoring doctors in craniofacial development. He is the founder of the Oklahoma Center for Craniofacial Development.

The lecture will provide the theory supported by scientific and clinical case studies for contemporary maxillofacial orthopedics, orthodontics & TMJ disorders treatments. Implementation of the delta force fixed bracket system in conjunction with functional appliances TAD’s and TMJ splints will presented with clinical cases .
Dr. Rick Soordhar obtained his DDS from the University of Western Ontario in 2004 and practices in Milton Ontario with his brother. He has accumulated over 1300 hours in Continuing Dental Education.

Mark Murphy DDS
“Adult Dental Sleep Medicine Practicum: Patient Acquisition, Testing, Treatment and Billing”
This lecture will allow the general practitioner to survey the current landscape of medical and dental treatments for sleep apnea and decide how and if they want to evolve into this life saving arena. The overview will cover marketing, physician communication, basic treatment philosophies, appliance choices, medical billing and the financial and emotional impact on your practice and team. We will evaluate and compare different devices, sleep tests, impression, and bite registration techniques. This course is a broad overview of adult sleep medicine and the skills necessary to begin your journey into treating these patients.
Dr Mark Murphy practices DSM part time in Rochester Michigan, is the Lead Faculty for Clinical Education at ProSomnus Sleep Technologies, chairs the Dental Sleep Medicine program at the Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. He lectures internationally on Leadership, Practice Management, Communication, Case Acceptance, Planning, Occlusion, Sleep and TMD.
