The Clinical Foundation of Orthopedics & Orthodontics (CFOO) was founded by Dr J W Truitt in 1978 with the aim of educating dentists to be able to understand, diagnose and treat all types of skeletal imbalances. That is, not to just see alignment of teeth in isolation but to fully understand the whole of the craniofacial dynamics and to give every dentist the skills and tools to treat all patients regardless of age. 

The aim of the CFOO modular education programme is to empower all dentists to treat whatever skeletal imbalance they encounter with confidence, safe in the knowledge they have the full on-going support of the Clinical Foundation.

All the modules are accessible either in person or live stream, although some hands-on sections are more rewarding if taken in person.

Whilst the focus of each module is extremely wide and in depth, Dr Truitt breaks every element into easy to understand sections that can be implemented immediately on return to practice.

Each of the modules are presented as standalone units. Each module pays attention to a specific area of focus and builds into a knowledge base that becomes the central focus of diagnosis and treatment planning for all cases.
